Hey fellow travelers! It’s Olivia here, giving you the 411 on Christchurch Airport’s (CHC) VIP lounges. Having traveled through so many airports, I’ve got the scoop for you on where to relax and what to expect. Let’s dive in!
VIP Lounges:
1. Air New Zealand Domestic Lounge
– Location: Level 2, right next to Gate 15.
– Hours: In line with flight schedules.
– Features: Get ready for an array of snacks, a bar, strong Wi-Fi, workstations, power outlets for your gadgets, photocopying and printing facilities, newspapers, magazines, TV, and even showers!
– Access: You’re in if you have Koru Club membership, Airpoints Gold or Elite, if you’re a Business Class passenger on Air New Zealand, or flying First/Business Class with any Star Alliance airline. Star Alliance Gold members are also welcome!
2. Air New Zealand International Lounge
– Location: Boarding level, right by Gate 25.
– Note: This lounge is temporarily closed. Stay tuned for updates!
– Features: Light snacks, a bar, Wi-Fi, executive facilities, newspapers, magazines, TV, and showers.
– Access: Same as the Domestic Lounge.
3. Manaia Lounge
– Location: Level 1, directly across from Gate 29.
– Note: This lounge is temporarily closed and is exclusive for international flights.
– Stay Limit: Up to 3 hours.
– Features: A smoking area, computers, air-conditioning, drinks, fax, TV, snacks, showers, newspapers, magazines, and Wi-Fi.
– Access: If you have a Priority Pass, DragonPass, or Diners Club membership, you’re good to go! Alternatively, you can pay at the door.
Airport Amenities:
– Basics: ATMs, currency exchange (Mon-Sat, 9:00 am-3:30 pm), postal services, fax, mobile services, VIP lounges, public phones, internet kiosks, and guess what, free Wi-Fi throughout!
– Foodie Delights: Fast-food joints, cafés, bars, and restaurants, mostly located on the first floor. ☕
– Shop ’til You Drop: Duty-free goodies in the international arrival and departure zones. You’ll also find bookstores, newsstands, cosmetics shops, gift stores, electronics outlets, and a convenience store on the ground floor.
– Luggage: Grab a free cart anywhere in the terminal! Bag sealing and left luggage services can be found at the check-in area (though it’s temporarily closed right now). Lost something? Call the services team at Tel +64 3353 7749 from Mon-Fri, 8:30 am-4:30 pm or shoot an email to [email protected].
– Extras: Keep the little ones entertained in the kids’ play area, game rooms, pharmacies, baby care facilities, prayer room, and showers.
