East London Airport VIP Lounges
Hey fellow travelers! It’s Olivia here, your globe-trotting entrepreneur. I’ve had my fair share of airport experiences, and today I’m going to share the inside scoop on the VIP lounges at East London Airport (ELS).
Bidvest Premier Lounge: Located on the ground floor, just beyond the security check. It’s open from 5:30 am to 8:30 pm on weekdays, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays, and from 9:00 am to 8:30 pm on Sundays. It’s the perfect little haven for domestic travelers! Here, you can find a designated smoking area, munch on some snacks, browse through newspapers and magazines, enjoy the Wi-Fi, watch some TV, and stay cool with the air conditioning. How to get in? Easy-peasy! You can access it with a Priority Pass, Lounge Club, DragonPass, or Diners Club membership. You can also book your spot online or pay at the door. But remember, the maximum stay is 2 hours! ⏳
South African Airways Baobab Domestic Premium Class Lounge: Strategically placed next to Gate 1. It’s open from 5:30 am until the final flight of the day. They’ve got snacks, TV, computers, beverages, daily newspapers, magazines, a smoking area, and of course, Wi-Fi! For entry, all you need is a Voyager Lifetime Platinum, Platinum, Gold, or Silver membership. If you’re flying first class or business class with South African Airways or any Star Alliance airlines, you’re in! Plus, Star Alliance Gold members are welcome too!

Hungry? Quench your thirst and satiate your hunger at the restaurant, café, and bar located on the first floor of the departure area.
For those last-minute shopping urges, the departure area boasts electronics, apparel, and candy stores.
Lost luggage? No worries! Just head over to the respective airline’s counter.
For some additional services, there’s a first aid clinic, a prayer room, and baby hygiene facilities. Super handy!
